In case some peeps didn't make it over, this is my new account, migrated from @me.

I'm centralizing everything under the j4.lc domain, as well as finally moving away from Sharkey which hasn't really seen any proper updates in some time now.

Remember to throw a follow for
news and as well!

Seems the server went through the follow queue during the night.

I’m still getting some “unauthorised” issue when trying to follow Wordpress blogs though…

While the CI/CD for is still very much new, I’m already thinking about reworking some parts.

For instance, the current interface used to publish to steam or as a GitHub release is too obtuse in my opinion, and could probably be simplified into just a single option.

I’ll need to take some time soon to look at this.

I think I’ll let soc.jae.fi run for a few more days to a week before shutting it down completely.

It’ll leave some time for those whose the migration didn’t work to move over fully.

There we go, most followers should now be migrated.

Turns out I had some issues in my configuration file, many thanks to the IceShrimp.NET peeps for helping me debug that!

Actually, some of the followers might have been lost due to the enforcement of authorized fetch.

Welp, was long overdue to enable it anyways.

To give a bit more context about the change, soc.jae.fi was created more than four years ago using Misskey. Over the years, it migrated first to Calkey, FireFish, a few others in between, to then end up on Sharkey.

While Sharkey development is still active, it's clearly slowing down, with the last release being about a month ago and being a security patch (see
activitypub.software/TransFem-org/Sharkey/-/releases).

This instance is now running Iceshrimp.NET, which I had in my visor for quite a while, given I work a lot with .NET daily. So far so good, works fairly great with an easy configuration. It's also finally swapping everything to the j4.lc domain, which I needed to do anyway.

In any case, hopefully I won't lose too many people from this migration, only about 50 people out of the original 423 made it over automatically, which isn't a good ratio, but eh, good enough for me.

I will attempt to migrate all the followers in the evening, hopefully it'll work!
