@qualia it will get cleaner soon, I'm working on having clean power going to the laptop and I'm changing most of the cheap power strips in the place (turns out those were making the spectrum jump for some reason).
@jae oh, if any neon bulb indicators are tired and flickering, those can cause little impulsive transients
as is, surge protector power strips are a consumable item since the MOVs can only hold off so much over their lifespan, so not a bad idea to do periodically anyways
