What does the crowd here use for Matter? I have a bunch of IKEA Matter devices plus a USB Aqara Hub M100 for it, but it's been very unreliable.

For instance, lights will sometimes not turn on or off, the switches that are supposed to connect over it are really hit-or-miss, etc.

Any recommendations to improve that?

@jae I used the official zbt-2 one

thepihut.com/products/home-assistant-connect-zbt-2

Easy setup and has been rock solid.

@bengillam ended up ordering one of those a few days ago out of curiosity. Will eagerly await it then. Hopefully migrating existing Matter stuff to it is easy.

@jae Can’t comment on migrating as I got this to go with the new Ikea bits I ordered at the time. Guess it depends how many devices you have already and if it’s easy enough to re-pair them

@jae I recently (about a month ago) bought an air quality monitor from IKEA to use as my test device, to make sure Matter/Threads worked.

Seems reliable in that
maintains a connection to it, pulls stats, and can reliably toggle the display on it

I'm using OTBR in a container.
